About New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is a two-day program designed to assist you with your transition to the Island University. You are required to attend New Student Orientation prior to enrollment if you have been admitted as a freshman.

At Orientation, you will:

  • Register for classes
  • Meet with representatives from your Academic College
  • Discuss university services and resources
  • Learn about student involvement opportunities
  • Tour the campus and on-campus housing facilities
  • Interact with other new and current students
