The transition into college can be both an exciting and challenging endeavor for you and your child. For some, this may be your first child to leave home, while for others this may be the third or fourth child you have sent off to college. In any case, it is likely that you are experiencing a world of different emotions and have many questions regarding your child's welfare and future at A&M-Corpus Christi. Receiving refunds
All new students will receive a HigherOne Easy Refund Card in the mail to manage any refunds they receive from the Business Office. Refunds can consist of your student's financial aid, dropping classes and/or overpayments. More info...

Studies have shown that living on campus increases student involvement, academic success, and overall satisfaction with the college experience. Camden Miramar and the most recent addition of Momentum Village, in partnership with A&M-Corpus Christi, provides quality on-campus housing facilities and services to Islander students.

A&M-Corpus Christi is dedicated to providing a safe and secure campus environment for all students, faculty, staff, and guests. The University Police Department (UPD) is conveniently located on campus, and provides 24-hour law enforcement in a manner which ensures an environment that is best suited for an institution of higher education. Weathering the storm
One of the few disadvantages of being an island university on the Texas Gulf Coast is the possibility of a hurricane disrupting normal summer/fall activities. Recognizing that it's not if but when a hurricane will threaten campus, A&M-Corpus Christi has developed a Hurricane Defense Plan that covers responsibilities and courses of action for students and faculty and staff throughout hurricane season. Accessing your student's records

Accessing your student's records
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. Students can grant access to their education records to other entities, such as a parent, by submitting a FERPA Waiver Form to the Office of the Registrar. This request will remain in effect until revoked by the student. More info...

It's important for parents to take the lead in fostering their students' academic success. The Parents' Council is a group of over 700 Islander parents whose mission is to involve Islander families in campus activities which promote the University, enrich the college experience for both students and parents, and enhance the communication between families and A&M-Corpus Christi while supporting the University's financial needs.
