About Transfer Transition Workshop
Transfer Transition Workshop is a free program designed to assist you with your transition to the Island University. The program is completely optional (though strongly recommended) for those students who have been admitted to A&M-Corpus Christi as a transfer student and have 30+ transferable college credit hours. At Transfer Transition Workshop, you will:
- Meet representatives from your Academic College
- Discuss available university services and resources
- Learn about student involvement opportunities
- Tour the campus and on-campus housing facilities
- Interact with other new and current students
- Be given the opportunity to address on-site errands (get your Student ID card, purchase a meal plan, etc.)
Please note that individual appointments with academic advisors will NOT be offered at this program. You will need to make arrangements separately if you would like to meet with an advisor prior to registering for classes. When is Transfer Transition Workshop?
Our on-site Transfer Transition Workshop is offered in January for incoming Spring transfer students and in August for those transfer students entering in the Fall semester. For specific information regarding our on-site programs, please refer to the appropriate links below.
If you are unable to attend our on-site workshop, you may be interested in completing our Online Transfer Orientation. It's available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet the needs of those students who can't make it to campus.
When do I register for classes?
Barring no holds on your student account, students who have been admitted to the University as transfer students and have 30+ transferable college credit hours can register for classes once registration opens. Unlike New Student Orientation, you do not have to attend this program in order to be able to register for classes.
